Lu Dan Li
We are over the moon in love with our new daughter!!!
Here is what we know about her. There is more to come on Monday.
Birthday: March 21, 2006
Currently living in Nanfeng Social Welfare Institute in Jiangxi, China
Chinese Name: Lu Dan Li
Weight: 14.3 pounds
Now for our "Red Thread" Connection.
One of my beloved Grandmothers who died 5 years ago was called Lu-short for Lucy.
The nannies in China call her Lili (Lee-Lee)
We have been planning on calling her Lily for about a year now.
We found out that her region is near the Yangtze River and is known for it's little oranges.
(Jack has been eating those little oranges all week for his snack!)
Thank you to all our friends and family for their support and encouragement.
Here is a quote from Mother Theresa that has kept me going during the past 22 months during our long Journey to Lily:
"Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass. God does not change. Patience achieves everything."

Congratulations Lisa & Tim! Your daughter is beautiful! OMG, when I first read your quote from Mother Teresa, it gave me goosebumps! At the beginning of our adoption journey, I was getting mail out of my mailbox. When I looked thru the mail, all of a sudden this business card falls out. It was not mailed, nor was it in an envelope! It reads the same quote: "Let nothing disturb you, let nothing cause you fear; all things pass. "Whoever has God needs nothing else, God alone suffices."...St.Teresa
God Bless!

My new little grandkid looks terrifiic. I couldn't have selected a cuter one myself. I'm heartbroken that I couldn't be with you guys to experience all of this with you but can't wait to hold all of you when you get home. We're very proud of all of your efforts to make this wonderful event happen.

It's a beautiful smile that she has kept hidden. I knew that she wouldn't be afraid of Tim for long. He's not all that scary.
Claudia. Tom and Chris send their best.
Her computer crashes whenever she tries to send you something. I told her to buy a MAC.
We love the pics and love you guys too.
Give Jack a big hug and tell him how proud we are of him.
